Semiconductor Program Director, Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program

Tori Sorg joined the Knight Campus in 2025 as the Semiconductor Program Director for the Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program.

Before joining the Knight Campus, Tori worked in the semiconductor industry for eight years. As a technology development engineer at Intel, she worked in Hillsboro, Oregon, focusing on defect metrology to improve the yield of next-generation computer chips, and in Santa Clara, California, developing and supporting metrology for optical and EUV lithography masks. After Intel, she was a senior engineer at Coherent in Eugene, Oregon, leading research and development for optical devices using semiconductor processing techniques.

Tori earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in chemical engineering from Cornell University. Her doctoral research focused on improving dopant activation in III-V materials using short-timescale laser spike annealing. She earned her honors B.S. in chemical engineering from Oregon State University. She is excited to train, mentor, and support the next generation of students entering the semiconductor industry with the critical skills they need to succeed.
