Ievgenii Liashenko is a post-doctoral scholar in the Dalton Lab at the Knight Campus. In 2020, he received his PhD in Nanotechnology, Materials and Chemical Engineering from the University Rovira i Virgili and Catalonia Institute for Energy Research, Spain. During his doctorate, Ievgenii invented and patented a novel technology for ultrafast 3D printing with submicron resolution using electrostatic jet deflection. Additionally, he acquired complementary skills in business, innovation and startups from the InnoEnergy PhD School organized by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.
Ievgenii joined the Dalton Lab in February 2021 and is working on melt electrowriting - a 3D printing/biofabrication technique with nano- and microscale resolution which has applications in Tissue Engineering. His primary interest lies in expanding the fundamental capabilities of melt electrowriting towards printing scaffolds with smaller fibers, higher speeds, improved precision and increasing geometrical complexity.
