Grace Privett joined the Knight Campus in October as a postdoctoral scholar in Nick Willett’s laboratory. She earned her PhD in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon in 2024. Prior to her doctorate, she earned M.S. and B.S. degrees in Kinesiology. During her doctoral work, Privett studied chronic (aging, training) and acute (exercise-induced fatigue) mediators of skeletal muscle cellular mechanics. Her research interests are in modeling aged skeletal muscle using micro-physiological systems and developing therapeutics to preserve skeletal muscle function in older adults.
When she's not in the lab, Privett enjoys exploring Oregon trails and waterways with her family.
