Aida Chebbi is a Research Engineer with The Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. She has over 10 years of experience in the biomechanical research field.

Aida received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineers in Tunisia. She also received a second Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada in 2019.Her current research focuses on sports injury prevention and sports performance. She is working on gait events detection using data from multi-axial inertial measurement units (IMUs) during indoor and outdoor running across a range of speeds and grades. She is also working on quantifying shock attenuation in the lower limb using acceleration waveforms from IMUs placed on both feet and the sacrum during outdoor running across a range of speeds and grades.

Aida loves traveling and meeting new people. She also enjoys swimming and karate.
