Sayandeep Gupta began his academic journey in India where he studied microbial biochemistry and molecular biology and pursued his Ph.D. investigating the RNA-protein interaction involved in the protein translocation in thermophilic microbes. As a postdoctoral scientist, he is presently developing the gene synthesis technology to create a high-throughput screening method for large-scale protein-protein interactions. Nurturing a deep interest in science communication, Sayandeep has been involved in popular science writing through published articles and books in his native language, Bengali.
