OUR mission

Our mission is to engineer innovative medical devices, drug delivery platforms and mechanotherapy strategies to achieve functional regeneration of injured and diseased musculoskeletal tissues.

Our lab works to develop in vitro organoids and medical devices, and to model and test therapies for conditions like osteoarthritis and trauma. We also work to understand how mechanobiology can facilitate regeneration and advance performance.

Research

Our lab leverages advanced biofabrication techniques like 6-axis bioprinting, microfluidics, and selective laser melting to engineer the next generation of medical devices and in vitro organoids.

We are up in running after moving to building 2!

When not at the Knight Campus, Kait Link volunteers and provides large animal care and veterinary training abroad, and was featured in Knight Campus News. 

Researchers from the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact participated in the Cascadia Corridor Research Symposium in Seattle, highlighting the range of research taking place across the Knight Campus. 

The Guldberg Lab 

In 2020, the Guldberg Lab relocated to the University of Oregon's Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Based in the Department of Bioengineering in Eugene, Oregon, the Guldberg Lab explores musculoskeletal regenerative engineering for performance, and for conditions like osteoarthritis and trauma.
