Robert Guldberg is the Vice President and Leona DeArmond Executive Director of the Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Dr. Guldberg holds bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in bioengineering from the University of Michigan. Prior to his role as director of the Knight Campus, Dr. Guldberg served as executive director of the Parker H. Petit Institute of Bioengineering and Bioscience and was a professor at the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Biomedical Engineering.

Graduate Students
UO graduate students should apply for admission to the joint OSU/UO Bioengineering program. We also admit students through the Biology, Chemistry, and Human Physiology departments. Contact Dr. Guldberg to discuss rotation projects and other research opportunities. OHSU students should apply through the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
Postdoctoral Scholars

Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students interested in working in the lab should plan to commit to at least 3 quarters of part-time research (~10 hours/week) and 1 summer of full-time research (40 hours/week). Students should contact Kimberly Jones with their CV/resume and research interests. The Knight Campus Undergraduate Scholars Program provides UO students with funding to conduct research for a full year in a Knight Campus-affiliated lab. Please be aware that undergraduates are added on a rolling, as needed basis.
