Introduction to Microfluidics and Medical Microdevices (Bioe 410)

This course introduces students to the design and fabrication of electrical and mechanical microdevices. The course will introduce students to fundamental microfabrication principles, including lithography, thin-film deposition, etching, and characterization. This course provides a framework for understanding processes used in the manufacturing of semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, and micro-photonic and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) components.

Design and Fabrication of Biomaterial Interfaces (Bioe 410)

This course introduces students to the design and fabrication of electrical and mechanical microdevices. The Deku Lab 

Founded in 2022, the Deku Lab is a neural engineering research group within the University of Oregon's Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Based in the Department of Bioengineering in Eugene, Oregon, the Deku Lab designs materials, devices, and approaches for neural interfacing to develop treatments for unmet clinical needs.
