Researchers from the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact participated in the Cascadia Corridor Research Symposium in Seattle, highlighting the range of research taking place across the Knight Campus. 

Funded through the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the six-month fellowship supports a collaboration to advance new strategies for neural regeneration

Founded in 2024 at the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact at the University of Oregon, biomedical startup company VivoTex seeks to transform tissue engineering through an innovative approach to advanced, microfiber 3D printing using techniques pioneered in the lab of bioengineering professor Paul Dalton.

Paul Dalton, an associate professor of bioengineering at the Knight Campus and the Bradshaw and Holzapfel Research Professor in Transformational Science and Mathematics, and his group are focused on harnessing cutting-edge advances in material fabrication to create next-generation biomaterials with a wide range of applications—including potential medical implants. In Dalton’s most recent publication, a portion of his lab focuses on optimizing a cutting-edge technique called volumetric additive manufacturing (VAM).

In 2021, the Dalton Lab relocated to the University of Oregon's Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Based in the Department of Bioengineering in Eugene, Oregon, the Dalton Lab uses advanced manufacturing to create biomedical materials that meet clinical challenges and benefit humanity.
