The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Undergraduate Advising can answer most questions about course selection and scheduling. For questions related specifically to bioengineering courses, please contact bioengineering@uoregon.edu.
Key details for CH and BIC majors:
- Complete the Fundamentals of Bioengineering series (BIOE 251, 252, 253)
- MATH 251 is a prerequisite for BIOE 251
- MATH 252 is a prerequisite for BIOE 252 and 253
- Complete 12 credits of upper-division electives
- At least 4 credits must be BIOE subject code
- Up to 8 bioengineering-related elective credits may count towards both your CH or BIC major and the bioengineering minor
- BIC students may not count BI 320, CH 461, CH 462, CH 463, CH 467 towards the bioengineering minor
- BIC students may count one of BI 322, BI 328, or BI 360 towards both the BIC major and the bioengineering minor. A second course from this list may count towards the bioengineering minor, but not the BIC major
- CH 466 may count as an advanced lab requirement for CH/BIC majors and elective for bioengineering minor.
