OUR mission

Our mission is understand the neural patterns behind healthy aging, and how they are altered in cognitive disorders.

The brain is composed of diverse cells with unique roles, and this diversity is critical to its resilience and adaptability, allowing it to change and adapt to meet functional demands. However, over the lifespan, and in many disease conditions, this cellular organization is altered, diminishing resilience and driving maladaptive neural processes. We are interested in the subtle cellular and circuit-level changes underlying learning and memory deficits.
