The Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance at Oregon continues its sponsorship of Kidsports Summer Pop-Up Neighborhood Camps. Now in its fourth year, the program provides age-appropriate movement & motor skill development, modified multi-sport games, and a chance for kids to move, play, and have fun. Camps are open for kids entering K-8th grade in the fall with sessions running from June through August.
Kidsports — a private, non-profit organization with a mission to teach children and families the value of physical fitness, sportsmanship, practice and teamwork through sports and activities — fits as a natural partner with the Alliance at Oregon, which seeks to transform human health through the science of peak performance. The sponsorship helps enable Kidsports to offer the camps free of charge.
Summer Pop-Up camps provide a combined curriculum of structured and unstructured play for all kids, including obstacle course, individual and various teams sport activities, along with self-created games and activities. A total of 10 pop-up campus are scheduled for the summer at strategically located parks and elementary schools. To register for one of the remaining sessions, visit the registration page.
