Several Knight Campus Department of Bioengineering graduate students were recognized for their presentations at the Sixth Annual Oregon Bioengineering Symposium at Oregon Health & Science University on Nov. 15, 2024, in the following categories:
- Xun Yu received the Excellence in Research Award for his abstract presentation “Skin Phototype Classification with Machine Learning based on Broadband Optical Measurements”
- Ander Switalla earned the Excellence in Research Award for his abstract presentation "“Multi-region Microelectrode Array for Studying Alterations in Neural Oscillatory Activity”
- Nick Pancheri won the Best Poster Award for his poster "Low intensity physical rehabilitation modestly attenuates tibial osteophytes and pain sensitization in a preclinical anterior cruciate ligament rupture model"
A collaboration between Oregon Health & Science University, Oregon State University, and the University of Oregon, the Oregon Bioengineering Symposium is a one-day annual event that brings together scientists, clinicians, and industry partners from across the state to engage over research advancements in the field of bioengineering.
