Knight Campus Celebrates 145 Graduates at Second Annual Commencement

On June 15, 2026, the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact hosted its second annual commencement ceremony, honoring 145 graduates across academic programs. Additionally, the Knight Campus celebrated six graduates from the Brewing Innovation minor program, 16 graduates from the Bioengineering minor and 18 graduates who participated in the Knight Campus Undergraduate Scholars program.

“This cohort of graduates is unique” says Stacey Wagner, Assistant Vice President for Master's Programs. “They share many experiences, both rewarding and challenging. We're immensely proud of them because of how hard they have worked, how much growth they've demonstrated as scientists, and how they have matured as colleagues.”

The celebration began with the Department of Bioengineering ceremony, recognizing five doctoral candidates and one master's student, followed by three successive ceremonies for Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program (KCGIP) tracks — Polymer Science & Molecular Sensors and Biotechnology, Optical Materials & Devices and Semiconductors, and Bioinformatics & Genomics. Graduates from each program were joined by families, friends, and supporters who gathered across campus to share in the milestone.
