Biodesign is tailored for students with entrepreneurship aspirations to improve healthcare through technology innovation. While the focus of this project-based course is the design process of medical products, topics such as market analysis, early funding model, quality management, regulatory pathways, etc. will also be covered from the perspective of an engineer or scientist. A series of lectures from the instructor and guest speakers with medical startup experience will guide students through their projects. This course will provide students with a basic understanding of the medical product development process, from the initial idea stage to product launch. No prerequisites. |
