The fifth annual Oregon Bioengineering Symposium is scheduled to take place on Friday, Nov. 3 at the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. The symposium, which is co-sponsored by the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and Oregon Health & Science University, aims to bring together esteemed researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals from various bioengineering disciplines.
This year's conference theme, "Translating Ideas into Practice," emphasizes the importance of bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications within the field of bioengineering. Abstracts are under review for oral presentations and poster presentations that align with this theme and explore the latest advancements in bioengineering research.
An exciting addition to this year's program is the opportunity to showcase creative talent through the "Best Oregon Bioengineering Symposium Logo" award. Participants are invited to submit their logo designs, and the winning submission will receive a $100 prize. Details about the logo award criteria are available on the OBS website.
Registration for the symposium is now open. Early bird registration will be available until 5 pm (Pacific Time) on Sept. 15, 2023, offering participants the opportunity to secure their spots at a discounted rate. Regular registration will remain open until 5 pm (Pacific Time) on Oct.29, 2023. Late registrations will also be accepted at the door on Nov. 3, although they will not guarantee a printed nametag or boxed lunch.
